Although Fall officially began a month ago, we are just starting to feel it in the South. I am still resisting turning the heat on in the house, and the chill of 67° F air inside has me figuring out ways to make this transition as cozy as possible. As someone who naturally runs cold… 67° is an ice box to me. My husband says the house finally feels good to him, so at least the cat can commiserate with me…she has been in bed uncharacteristically under a blanket all day.
In the spirit of Fall coziness…I present you with my top 3 Fall favorites this year:
1. Yankee Scenterpiece Tart warmer with a timer – This has been filling my house (safely) with lovely fall scents! I am notorious for walking away from lit candles, so this is my safe way to enjoy nice scents while at home. My favorite part about this product is that it has a timer! I can turn it on for 3, 6, or 9 hours at a time. The unit itself is not hot unless you poke a finger down into the melted wax area. This would work wonderfully in the classroom too since it is flameless. I found mine at Kohl’s on sale.
2. Duraflame Electric “Stove” Heater – Okay, this thing is functional and adorable. I have it in red and guests always comment on it. Not only is it cute, but this thing can spit out some intense heat. I keep it in my sunroom which tends to get really chilly with all of the windows. It has adjustable heat, and an adjustable faux flame light.
3. Haus of Gloi Body Emulsion – Most lotions itch and burn my legs after shaving, but not this one! I am the queen of dry skin in these cold months, so applying lotion after showering is very important for me this time of year. I have tried and loved the lavender sugar, troika, and twice is nice scents. They all tend to be sort of sweet scents, but they are light. They put out seasonal scents and offer trial sizes, so ordering is always fun! Plus you’re supporting a small business.
